bragboxX is my venture into the world of social media. Well, to be extremely to the point, I’d say that bragboxX is all about social media. Social Media has evolved rapidly during the last decade and there still seems no end to this wonderful outcome of Web 2.0. Today websites like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Flickr, etc. have become an integral part of the human lifestyle and there is no turning back.

Human’s today are truly demonstrating signs of being social animals as they can’t get enough of being socially involved. We’re socializing at home, at work and on the go with the help of the amazing ‘techy’ gadgets at our disposal. Who could have thought that technology would evolve this much about half a century ago?

How I define social media to a layman is “word of mouth.” If we move back to the times when this beautiful technology of today was uncommon, people used to socialize at events, gatherings, through telephones and by writing letters through snail mail. The sole purpose of all this socializing was to interact and communicate with each other. That kind of interaction was of course not as frequent as technology has enabled us to. But the evolution of technology has enabled people to socialize through the internet by tools such as IMs, Social Networking Sites, Chat Rooms, Discussion Forums, etc. We use technology to enhance our way and type of communication. Its just the socializing medium and tools that have evolved and changed. We as humans have always loved socializing … that’s why no wonder we are famous as social animals!

I’m a social media consultant myself and I’m finally launching this blog as I believe there is a need for me to market myself as well as write it all down. Apart from that, I am a regular blogger as I write for several blogs on topics including but not limited to sports, social media, marketing, advertising, design, businesses, entrepreneurship and technology
